Tentsile tent
The Tentsile tree tent serves as the accommodation base, with accommodation for three people. The tent is attached between three trees and is about a meter above the ground. The maximum capacity of the tent is 400 kg.

The tent is intended for peaceful sojourning. It does not endure jumping.

Unfortunately, taking pets inside the tent is prohibited, for both allergy and safety reasons.

The tent has a rainproof canvas that can be removed temporarily. The use of sprayed insecticide is prohibited inside the tent and in its immediate vicinity. The tent protects from insects.

Sleeping Bags, Pillows, and Sheets
We've selected eco-friendly Marmot sleeping bags made from recycled materials, tailored to suit the typical weather conditions of summer and July. In addition to regular models, we have a few extra-wide and extra-long sleeping bag options, so please let us know your preference upon arrival. Pillows and sheets for the sleeping bags are included in the Tentsile experience price.

For children, we provide separate sleeping bags. Please inform us when placing your order if you require children's sleeping bags. The Tentsile tent comes with an insulated sleeping mat, so separate mats are not needed.

Beautiful Lake Views and a Long Sandy Beach
The location of the Tentsile tent has been carefully chosen. From this peaceful spot, you can admire the stunning lake views in complete tranquility. The tent is situated on a sandy beach, allowing you to easily dip into the lake whenever you desire. With a shoreline stretching 300 meters, there's plenty of space to enjoy! The surrounding area is perfect for hiking, cycling, jogging, swimming, mushroom picking, and berry picking.

Drinking Water
We provide a 10-liter water container for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth to ensure an ample supply of water. There is a separate water point for hand washing.

Shower
Our property is located next to natural water, which makes it possible to wash yourself in the lake. Please note that the use of detergents is not permitted when swimming in natural waters. For handwashing, we provide biodegradable detergent that minimizes environmental impact.

Composting toilet
We have a composting dry toilet at your disposal, which also enables composting of leftover food.

Recycling
There are recycling bins for glass, cardboard, metal and mixed waste in the toilet. Always take the garbage to the garbage cans, so that the garbage does not end up in the lake with the wind.

Cooking Facilities
Prepare your meals conveniently with our selection of foods using a portable camping stove. You can rent a high-quality Primus camping stove and gas from us. Alternatively, you are welcome to bring your own provisions.

Within close proximity to the Tentsile tent (approximately 500 meters, both by the beach and atop Kiparivuori), there are two public fire pits available. Please only light fires in accordance with current forest fire warnings. These fire pits are maintained by the municipality of Rautavaara, and Vaarojen Majat does not take responsibility for any lack of amenities, such as firewood, at the site

First Aid Kit
Included in the basic equipment of the Tentsile tent are a first aid kit, fire blanket, and tent lamp. We have compiled important phone numbers and the tent's location details in the tent manual for emergency situations.

Personal Guidance
Our guide will meet you to escort you to the Tentsile tent from the nearest parking area. The guide will provide instructions on how to use the tent and will bring along all the ordered supplies

Check in and arrival
The camp opens at 6 p.m. Our guide will be there then. The guide guides the guests to the accommodations and tells about the practical issues of the area and delivers to the guests, for example, pre-ordered excursion meals. By ordering food in advance, you are assured that there will definitely be food available for the trip.

The tent and supplies must be handed over the next day by 12 noon.

Ensure also that you are carrying the following personal utensils:

• warm clothing, e.g., woollen underwear and sweater woollen socks

• woollen cap gloves

• personal toiletries

What we expect from you

We expect you to take care of the cleanliness of the tent, its accessories and the nature surrounding the tent. The tent and all accessories must be handed over in the same condition and cleaned as they were.
